Who's Lurking in the Shadows: The Budget Cutter!
He’s creeping down
the halls of Washington and your state capital at this very second.
He seeks to slash the budget for those who can least afford it.
He claims to be saving money at the same time that he is
turning his back on mountains of debt.
When the time comes to show his backbone with budget cuts, he
attacks the weakest and the poorest among us.
The first on the chopping block will be poor single mothers and
their children. They are
the weakest. But, as
every bully knows, there is great sadistic pleasure in attacking the
weakest among us. Food
stamps, PELL grants, and Medicaid: TAKE THAT!
Foster Care, energy assistance, and childcare: he will lay your
throat open and laugh as you bleed to death.
What’s that?
There are bigger budget hogs that are left unscathed? The military, corporate welfare, energy industry subsidies:
these are all far too powerful for a coward like the Budget-Cutter to
attack. These budget hogs
vote and even more important they write big checks.
They own the budget-cutter and to attack them would surely mean
suicide.
The budget cutter knows
no national allegiance or party loyalty.
They exist only to attack the weakest and poorest among us.
Their only goal is to survive to slash again.

Ah,
C'mon, you know this is a Republican. Why can't you admit it?
KW
|
| I
admit no such thing. I will admit that the GOP does this with
regularity, but they aren't the only ones. As long as money is
king in politics, the Budget-Cutter with thrive.
|
|
Somehow
creepy and cute at the same time. Did you use Bill Frist as a
model?
OA |
| No,
if you must know, this was inspired by EC comics. It is meant to
be any politician who is in power and beholden to the moneyed interest
that own them. Frist fits but I could think of a few hundred
others.
|
|
Typical
lib drib. Are you suggesting we cut the military budget?
BH
|
|
I'm suggesting that peace is
cheaper than invading a country on false premises. I would hope
that we would spend our money to help injured veterans instead of
creating more of them to save the President's ego.

|
Why
can't you, just one time, draw something that is pro-Christian and
pro-American?
LK
|
|
Gee, I guess I forgot how
helping the poor is anti-Christian.
Note to self: get a newer
edition of the bible. Apparently there have been lots of
re-writes since the neo-cons took over.

|
So
you think the government is subsidizing the rich? Get real!
ST
|
|
In my state, drivers of giant
gas guzzling SUVs are exempted from the same pollution test that the
rest of us have to pass in order to stay on the road. I had one
wealthy friend tell me that he was actually making money by buying the
7 MPG behemoth. He laughed as he called his latest vehicle a
"profit center".
Yes, I think the government
gives far too many advantage to the wealthiest among us.
