HILLARY'S MEMORY FAILS AS PRESSURE MOUNTS

The press laid the crown upon her head long ago but the people have yet to speak. But how can she fail? For heaven's sake, she is married to the most successful president of my life. She has geographical qualifications...she is close to a proven leader. Aren't we all aware of companies that replace their top executives with their wives or husbands?

Me neither.

Personally, I don't get Hillary-mania. If she had somehow shown some courage or leadership during her years as senator, I might agree with media maven's description of her as "unstoppable." The problem is she let this nation down when we needed her the most. In the run up to the Iraq invasion she never pointed out the obvious bull-hockey about Sadam's connection to Al Qaeda. Hillary knew a Shiite wouldn't pee on a Sunni if he was on fire, but she let this obfuscation proceed with nary a peep. In fact she became the biggest democratic cheerleader for the Iraq war in the senate.

Oh yeah, now she's forgotten all about that. She now claims she was always against the war. He who controls the past controls the present. For me, her recent claims are a Winston Smith moment...."AM I THE LAST PERSON LEFT WITH A MEMORY?" At least, Arianna Huffington remembers.
