John Wiley Price: Dallas County Commissioner

Mr. Price has been County Commissioner for twenty years but a protesting presence for at least ten years longer.  My favorite story of a John Wiley Price protest is when he was leading a group of citizens that were upset with the rough treatment on the part of the Dallas Police Department and they were determined to shut down one of the city's downtown streets.  They tried all kinds of approaches to stopping the traffic and eventually settle on walking back and forth in the crosswalk EXTREMELY SLOWLY.  As a result, the always wacko Dallas City Council held a late night session to pass an ordinance stating how long a person was allowed to take in crossing a city street.

Any time they start passing laws aimed directly at you, you have reached the pinnacle of protesting.
