I'll
Miss John Kerry
He made a
great candidate. Showed restraint and dignity throughout the
process and absolutely smoked Bush in the debates.
I think
Kerry lost because this is, by a slight but growing margin, a
Republican country.
By all rights, this President should have lost, with his proven
record of both domestic and international failure, but he won
handily.
The only
thing I can think of that the Democrats might have done on short
term is to have attacked Bush as morally questionable.
Slimy, I know. But it there is a lot of ammo there and it might have kept a
few of the Christian right people home.
But, this wouldn't have saved him from the huge Republican
voting block.
Democrats
will continue to lose unless they can win back the blue-collar
voter. When Ohio went
to Kerry after the massive job losses in that state, I saw a level
party dedication that defies explanation.
